Help save water by reporting leaks

After a recent story by COURIER on leaks, a resident reported a four-year-old leak in front of the Booysens Post Office in Heronmere Road.

RESIDENTS are urged not to turn a blind eye when noticing water leaks in the streets and pavements. They must rather contact Joburg Water.

After a recent story by COURIER on leaks, a resident reported a four-year-old leak in front of the Booysens Post Office in Heronmere Road.

“This leak is four years old. Clean water is being wasted and nobody is taking any responsibility. Something needs to be done,” he said.

Isaac Dhludhlu, communications and marketing manager at Joburg Water, said they have logged a call and the team will attend to it.

“It’s important to put matters into context because if it is that long, the question should be when it was reported, has it been attended to previously, what is the latest updates and if any reference number was given when it was reported,” he said.
