Law enforcers holds crime awareness campaign, visit schools

Schools get a special visit from law enforcers.

SOCIAL Crime Prevention, JMPD and Sector 3 community patrollers conducted a crime awareness campaign on April 4.

The awareness started by JMPD issuing pamphlets to motorists concerning hijackings and how to prevent it.

It was reported to the COURIER by Booysens SAPS that JMPD issued 10 fines for various traffic violations.

After the campaign was finished on the streets, they then went to Sir John Adamson and conducted a raid. No harmful substances were recovered, but learners were taught about theft and drug abuse.

Social Crime Prevention, along with Booysens Youth and Pastor Kenneth, held a school talk and raid at Hamlet Special School on April 3.

Learners were addressed about stranger danger, substance abuse, human traffic, bullying, and theft.

TALK: Hamlet Special School learners paying attention as they are being addressed about drug abuse and crime.
