Youth can apply for accredited training

Classes resume on April 23. All services take place at the Youth Development Centre in Turffontein.

CALL is now officially open for the youth in the South of Johannesburg who are unskilled and unemployed to apply for skills development training opportunities at Believers Care Society Youth Development Centre.

They employ integrated learning strategy that does not only address the work-skills requirement but also personal development in the process.

Their social programme includes life skills, community service, extramural activities and community outreach events. This means that every learner who is attending training also participates in social activities that ensure holistic development of a young person.

All their training courses are accredited through respective SETA’s. The regulation of the SETA ensures that their training programmes meet a quality standard and they have 21 accredited qualifications, making it possible for one to choose from diverse career options.

At the completion of learning, participants are issued accredited certificates of competence and receive job assistance through their active job centres.

Training courses currently enrolling includes interior design, mobile phone engineering, end-user computing, project management, contact centre support (call-centre course), office skills and administration, computerised book-keeping/pastel accounting and PC engineering course. Duration of the above courses is three months, six months and 12 months respectively.
