Help clean up Turffontein areas

The aim of the awareness campaign is to create a safe and clean environment in the community.

COMMUNITY Cohesion and Safety Network NPC (CCSN) will be hosting a clean-up campaign and a youth sports tournament (football u-13) on October 12, at Rotunda Park in Turffontein.

The aim of the campaign is to create a safe and clean environment in the community of Turffontein and surrounding areas.

Stakeholders also wish to unite the community stakeholders and community members in working together in uplifting the community.

On the day, volunteers will be needed to assist in mobilising the community through a door to door pamphleteering and participate in the clean-up.

Neo Segapo, chairperson of CCSN said, “This event is a first of a series of events that we will continue to roll-out under the theme ‘Crush Crime and Grime Campaign’. This entails civic education, social regeneration events for neighbours (know your neighbour) and edutainment and setting up crime watch utilities.”
