Mildred Nkomo from South Hills believes her two neighbours are out to get her
Speaking to the COURIER, she said everything was fine and she used to interact with her neighbours and share things.
MILDRED Nkomo (70) from South Hills feels ill-treated and unwanted by her fellow neighbours.
She said she’s fed up with the level of disrespect some of her neighbours give her.
Speaking to the COURIER, she said everything was fine and she used to interact with her neighbours and share things.
But according to Nkomo, the problem started when one of the neighbours moved into the neighbourhood in 2015.
“This guy came to me saying he’s selling a light bulb and I told him I don’t have money.
“He got frustrated and proceeded to the next person. Since then, he never spoke to me, even worse, he started to avoid greeting me,’’ said Nkomo.
Nkomo believes this neighbour influenced her next-door neighbour to stop talking to her and stop giving her vegetables.
“Most of the elderly people from South Hills get vegetables from my next-door neighbour, but now, my neighbour doesn’t give me vegetables anymore,” continued Nkomo.
“When elderly people come together, it becomes hard for me to go join them because of the two people who don’t what anything to do with me.
“These two are much younger than me and they should respect me,’’ added Nkomo.
The COURIER contacted the man who Nkomo claims hates her. He said the real reason they don’t see eye to eye is that he no longer cleans for Nkomo.

“I used to clean for her but as soon as she stopped paying me I stopped. That’s why she doesn’t talk to me.
“The issue of the light bulb is a lie. This woman has a serious problem and I won’t entertain her,” said the neighbour who wished to remain anonymous.
The vegetable lady, who also wishes to remain anonymous, told the COURIER she loves everyone and she has no issues with Nkomo.
“I do give her vegetables, all she needs to do is come and collect them as other elderly people do. I can’t go to her,” she said.
