Three suspects arrested for house robbery in Mondeor

The suspects were arrested and detained at Mondeor Police Station.

On January 29 Mondeor police arrested three suspects in connection with a house robbery that occurred in Berrymead Avenue, Mondeor, at about 2.20pm.

The complainant arrived home when three males entered the house and demanded the safe keys.

They took household items and loaded them inside the victim’s Toyota Etios and drove off.

While police were patrolling, they were given a lookout for the vehicle which was involved in the crime, a silver/grey Nissan X-Trail with three occupants, which was spotted at the corner of John Masefield Drive and Columbine Avenue.

Police signalled for the vehicle to stop, but it accelerated.

They gave chase and managed to halt the vehicle in Rifle Range Road. House breaking implements were found inside the vehicle, the vehicle chassis number was filed off and it had a false registration number.

The suspects were arrested and detained at Mondeor Police Station.

The owner’s vehicle was also recovered with the stolen property from the house.
