Centre manager of My Lilies of Hope Ronny Selowa said besides this initiative with Bizbuild, they are looking at helping and empowering unemployed youth in the area.

My Lilies of Hope in La Rochelle has partnered with Bizbuild to provide a free one-year scholarship in youth development entrepreneurship training.

You need to be unemployed, not studying and between 18 and 35 years in order to qualify for this scholarship. To register you need to have a certified copy of your ID (if it’s a card – both sides), certified copy of highest grade or qualification and proof of residence.

Centre manager of My Lilies of Hope Ronny Selowa said besides this initiate with Bizbuild, they are looking at helping and empowering unemployed youth in the area.

“We also offer free internet access for youth looking for jobs, the printing of CVs, school and higher education online admission, advice and referrals. Our youth need to be empowered and form their cooperates in order to get funding and sustain themselves,” explained Selowa.

He mentioned they also give out food parcels, thanks to Woolworths that is sponsoring them.

“We hope the Department of Social Development will come on board to help us help the community. In the near future we also want to offer IT courses; however, we don’t have computers and we request any donation of old but working computers so that we can use it to benefit the young people,” he said.

My Lilies of Hope is open to public from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
