OKae Molao Operation yields positives

Some of the drugs that were found include crystal meth, nyaope and Mandrax.

The Okae Molao operation in the Moffat View precinct yielded some positives on February 27 and 28.

This joint venture from different law enforcement personnel performed various activities, including roadblock, liquor compliance, drug raids, dilapidated buildings and Disaster Management Act compliance.

Drunk and driving – 28

Possession of drugs – five

Assault GBH – three

Common robbery – one

Roadblock – one

People searched – 843

Vehicle searched – 340

Dilapidated buildings visited – 10

Known drug houses visited – 10

Liquor compliance inspections – 10 and six liquor outlets closed down

Drugs found – crystal meth, nyaope and Mandrax

Traffic fines – a total of 15 traffic fines for road traffic offences, the value of R3 000

Vehicles tested – 27

Firearms tested – four

Hot spots visited – five

ATMs visited – 19

Filling stations visited – 23

Spazas visited – 23
