Taxi collision leaves 16 injured in Crown Mines

A collision between a minibus taxi and a light motor vehicle at an intersection on the Main Reef Road in Crown Mines left 16 people with moderate to serious injuries on the evening of September 18.
Ross Campbell from ER24 said their paramedics arrived on the scene at 21:06 along with many other emergency services.
“Sixteen adults from the taxi and light motor vehicle involved were found lying around the scene. The driver of the light motor vehicle, a 34-year-old man, was treated for serious injuries by ER24 and transported to a private hospital.
“Two other adults from the taxi were treated and transported by ER24 to hospital for further care. All the other patients on the scene were treated and transported by various other emergency medical services on scene. JMPD were also on scene for further investigations,” explained Campbell.
