Business from Robertsham helps JSPCA in a big way

Angelique and Kyle hope this will inspire other business to also donate to animal shelters.

Angelique Naicker and her husband Kyle from Meyersdal donated 200 blankets to the JSPCA.

As owners of Angelique Naicker Attorneys operating in Robertsham, they hope to inspire other businesses in the South to do the same.

Both Angelique and Kyle are animal lovers as they have two dogs at home.

“The dogs are like our children. Kyle one evening covered the dogs to stop them from getting cold. I told Kyle that the dogs at the SPCA are also freezing and with the help of our colleagues we reached out to the SPCA,” said Angelique.

The original plan was for the couple and their colleagues to donate 10 blankets.

They contacted the JSPCA to confirm how many blankets are needed to ensure that all of the animals can sleep warm.

“We ordered 200 blankets from Westpack.

“Everyone in the office shares the love for animals so the JSPCA has a soft spot in all of our hearts. This is the first time that we did a donation to an animal shelter on this scale but it will not be the last as we are planning on making it a monthly thing. We would like to create a new business trend to help animal shelters in the South.”

The JSPCA has the following dogs up for adoption:

Angelique Naicker, Kyle Naicker, Veran Pillay, Phumla Mbangula and Leah Singh from Angelique Naicker Attorneys recently donated 200 blankets to the JSPCA.

• Awesome little Jackson is a mixed breed. He’s a little shy at first and takes some time to warm up to new people but an absolute little delight when he does.

He will need some leash work and is still wary around other dogs for now.

• Milo is an adult cross breed of around two years. Milo is very good on the lead, friendly, loving and has the cutest little face. He loves his treats and is happy and affectionate.

• Lexi is a female crossbreed of about two years. Lexi will need some time to get used to the leash but loves other dogs, and can play a little rough. She will need time to adjust to her new loving home.

• Angela is a mixed breed of about a year old. She is a sweetie and does not stop smiling and running around. She is crazy about any toy she can find, including the lead and absolutely nuts about her tennis ball.

• Mario is such a sweet boy and walks well on a lead. He loves other dogs and is not bothered when he walks past the cats.

He has a friendly, gentle nature and loves human affection. He is crazy about his tennis ball and enjoys being outside so much and is happy to entertain himself.
