Amcare showered with donations

CMH Toyota Alberton visited AMCARE for donations of blankets and jackets to help keep the Alberton community warm this winter.

Amcare in Alberton was excited after receiving generous donations from CMH Toyota Alberton on June 8.

CMH Toyota Alberton donated over 300 winter collectives at Amcare, to reach out to the most vulnerable individuals.

The donated collections included over 150 new blankets and warm jackets.

Dealer principal of CMH Toyota Stephan Ueckermann said that the blankets and jackets were originally bought to aid the individuals of Kwa-Zulu Natal (KZN) after being hit hard by floods.

After donating blankets and jackets to the affected beneficiaries of KZN, the car dealership was still left with many blankets and jackets which were donated to Amcare.

Over 400 lives were lost following the KZN floods from April 8 to 21. The floods also left thousands of families homeless and vulnerable.

Some of the donations made by CMH Toyoya Alberton.

“We as CMH Toyota Alberton deal with Amcare specifically. We assist them, and they assist us. We actually aid the non-profit organisation with monthly donations just to help them serve their purpose and service the community on a daily basis,” said Ueckermann.

The relationship between the two parties has been going on for quite a few years.

The general manager of Amcare, Marihet Infantino, said that she did not think when they initially spoke to her that it would be something this huge because they told her that it was a small donation and most of it was second-hand.

“We got so many new people coming into our area and they come to us looking for help. These blankets and jackets will ensure that these individuals are warm and comfy, especially this winter,” Infantino said.

According to Infantino, after handing over the donations to the beneficiaries, they request them to sign an acknowledgement form to avoid issuing such services to the same person over and over again.

Infantino said that they will ensure that these donations reach to the most deserving and they know exactly who they are.

Amcare extended their gratitude to CMH Toyata Alberton for trusting them and building such a strong and trustworthy relationship with them. She also thanked them for the recent donations which will benefit over 100 personnel.
