DPP suggests postponement for Eden Park mother’s matter

Eden Park mother Joanne Swartbooi remains in custody following her recent appearance in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.

Eden Park mother Joanne Swartbooi, accused of murdering her boyfriend, remains in custody while investigations are underway.

Her matter saw another postponement after she briefly appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on June 20.

The ruling to postpone her matter was made by the court’s director of public prosecutions.

The 36-year-old mother of three faces a charge of murder after being accused of killing her boyfriend, Timothy Jacobs, with a baseball bat and burning his body.

Swartbooi’s matter was then postponed to July 25. The accused has denied the allegations against her.
