Alberton High alumnus heads to Switzerland for World Skills

An Alberton High School alumnus, Jayvee Estologa, is excitedly looking forward to the most at the World Skills International Competition in Switzerland.

Jayvee Estologa will be representing South Africa in the World Skills International Competition 2022 Special Edition in the patisserie and confectionery skills.

The 22-year-old’s experience of working at The Test Kitchen Carbon and winning gold at the provincial and national competitions has prepared him to take on his competition.

Jayvee will be travelling to Lucerne, Switzerland, from October 10 to 15 to meet and compete with competitors from all over the globe.

The Verwoerd Park resident studied at FBI Chef School and Patisserie. His interests are gaming and exercising.

“Seeing and learning different techniques of other competitors have allowed me to network with other competitors. My friends and family have been excited and supportive all the way,” Jayvee said.

Alberton High School also congratulated him ahead of the international competition.
