Ziané (8) crowned Miss Alberton Junior 2022

An effective youngster who leads an impactful life, Ziané van Staden, was thrilled to be crowned Miss Alberton Junior 2022 along with other special awards.

The year 2022 has been a blissful year for Ziané van Staden, a Grade Two learner at Laerskool Randhart.

From the age of three, Ziané has loved modelling. Since then she has bagged a couple of national titles such as National Model of the Year (skills division) in 2019, National Model of the Year second princess (commercial division) in 2021 and National Face of the Year in 2022.

Just recently, on October 16, she was chosen as Miss Public Choice Junior and Miss Personality Junior and bagged the main title of Miss Alberton Junior 2022.

Ziané has also taken part in smaller competitions and model showcase events almost every three months winning for the best dressed, Miss Congeniality and more.

“Figures Model Finesse International has been the foundation of her modelling and has helped her grow into a confident, self-respectful youngster with a kind heart. At her school, she won the title Mej Rantie Junior in 2021, all this leading up to her entering Miss Alberton in April,” said her mother, Shereen van Staden.

Shereen said it has been a journey to remember, with special events happening monthly leading up to the recent finals.

Ziané started the socks and slippers campaign and donated to Alberton Child Welfare. She also did motivational speaker events. The young model also took on several workshops, including one with the Runway Couch Rasmus-Gold Ntlanganiso.

According to Shereen, her favourite part of the journey was to go shopping for the less fortunate.

“What she also loved was the support and love she received from the contestants and organisers (Ayanda and Karabo), sponsors and mentors such as Brendan Nel and more. She enjoyed making friends who treasured the journey with her,” she explained.
