Teen killed in horrific Turffontein home invasion

Jemérite Ndaya Mulengele (19) was stabbed to death; attacker stole her belongings and fled in her clothes

Jemérite Ndaya Mulengele (19) was brutally murdered in her home in Turffontein on May 6.

It is alleged that an unknown man broke into the house while Ndaya was cooking. The perpetrator stabbed her multiple times and stole her phone and laptop, fleeing the scene while wearing Ndaya’s clothes.

Ndaya had just completed her humanities studies and was preparing to begin university training in education. She leaves behind two younger siblings and her devastated parents.

No arrests have been made yet.

Booysens SAPS communications officer Capt Lorraine van Emmerik said they have opened a murder case, and police are busy with investigations.
