St Patrick’s Catholic Church hosts vibrant Festival of Nations

Families and friends came together for a day of fun, fellowship, and cultural discovery.

St Patrick’s Catholic Church in La Rochelle celebrated its annual Festival of Nations.

The festival brought together families and friends, inviting them to dress in their cultural attire, showcasing the rich diversity that defines the Johannesburg south community.

Father Jorge Guerra emphasized: “This initiative is from our La Rochelle parish where we come together every year as different communities in Johannesburg south. It is an opportunity to celebrate our diversity through unity.

“Celebrating diversity and coming together is something we do every Sunday at our parish because we believe in welcoming everyone and promoting integration and social cohesion.”

The highlights of the event were a wide array of delicious food available, entertainment, fun games, and traditional attire from respective backgrounds.
