Steeledale restaurant donates R100k to support needy children

The Add Hope visit saw a large donation go to a children’s home.

KFC Steeledale’s Add Hope donation of R100 000 went to the Look Forward Creativity Centre to help the home in many ways.

The official cheque handover was at the centre on October 22.

Lloyd Machate, the area manager for KFC, spoke about the Add Hope initiative and why they chose the Look Forward Creativity Centre.

“We asked KFC Steeledale to source a local beneficiary, and they chose Look Forward. We went through a process with YUM International, the holding company for KFC, to give them a significant donation in the name of KFC adding hope,” said Machate.

Advocate Kizito Kabengele, the chairperson of the Look Forward Creativity Centre, outlined the importance of the donation to the home.

“We needed donations, and KFC came to our aid. We are extremely grateful because this donation will help sustain our mission of helping needy children,” said Kabengele.
