Cllr Sarah Wissler gets appointed as Chairperson of the Public Safety Committee

As the newly appointed chairperson, she outlines their ambitious plan to work alongside other partners to transform Johannesburg into a safer city.

Councillor Sarah Wissler is honoured to announce her appointment as the chairperson of the Public Safety Committee in the City of Johannesburg.

This role carries immense responsibility, as it directly impacts the safety and well-being of all residents.

Wissler shared: “Public safety is at the heart of building a thriving and secure Johannesburg. As chairperson, I will be working closely with the JMPD and the Emergency Management Services and other key stakeholders to ensure that we deliver on our mandate.”

According to Wissler, Johannesburg residents deserve safer communities, efficient law enforcement, and an effective emergency response system.

This means ensuring visible policing, cracking down on crime, and tackling corruption within the law enforcement structures.
