CEOs urged to get into a wheelchair for Little Eden

For 58 years, Little Eden Society has been dedicated to providing care, support, and advocacy for individuals with intellectual disabilities, including those who rely on mobility aids. Their programmes focus on improving the quality of life, providing education, healthcare, and helping residents live with dignity and respect.

The Little Eden Society is excited to announce the eighth annual CEO Wheelchair Campaign – “Ride a Mile in My Wheels”, launching with an exciting event at the East Rand Mall Food Court on February 28.

March is Intellectual Disability Awareness Month and CEOs and business leaders are invited to join this powerful campaign and spend a full workday in a wheelchair to raise awareness and funds for children and adults with profound intellectual disabilities at Little Eden.

Little Eden aims to raise R1.5m to support 300 residents who have profound intellectual disabilities.

A significant 71% of Little Eden’s residents rely on wheelchairs and 68% come from underprivileged or abandoned backgrounds.

“We are proud to have CEOs like Jorge Mende, CEO of Cell C, and Adrian Gore, CEO of Discovery Limited, supporting the campaign this year,” said Ann Coetzee, CEO of Little Eden.

The launch will take place from 07:00 to 18:00, with the following fun-filled activities:
