JRA unblock drains in Reuven to prevent flooding

Efforts in Reuven, Booysens, and City Deep aim to enhance road safety and support Johannesburg’s infrastructure improvements.

As part of the high-impact service delivery operation, Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) teams are working to unblock drains in the city.

The focus areas from March 17 will be Reuven, Booysens and City Deep.

Blocked drains may cause flooding on the roads when it rains, posing a risk to road safety.

The JRA’s efforts are part of the city’s broader initiative to reimagine and improve Johannesburg’s services and infrastructure.

By tackling blocked drains, the JRA aims to reduce the risk of flooding and improve road safety for all road users.

To report blocked drains, residents can contact @MyJRA on X or email hotline@jra.org.za, providing the street name, nearest street corner, and suburb affected.
