Join the fight against GBV by supporting the Sisterhood Charity Golf Day

The event will bring together golf enthusiasts and supporters to raise funds that will empower individuals on their journey from victim to survivor.

Motivated by the tragic death of Karabo Mokwena, Sisterhood is a project founded by Leyonie Marais and born from a tribe of resilient, compassionate women.

The NPO’s mission is to restore the dignity and self-worth of female survivors of GBV. What began in the south of Johannesburg has grown into a registered NPO dedicated to making a lasting impact in the community.

Sisterhood is excited to invite the community and golf enthusiasts to the Sisterhood Charity Golf Day on Friday, April 11 at South Down Country Club, Mayfield Park.

This fundraising event aims to support the NPO’s rehabilitation programme, which assists survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) on their journey from victim to survivor. The programme is inclusive of women, children and men, and the funds raised will go directly towards helping these individuals regain their dignity and self-worth.

Registration will start at 09:00 with a shotgun start at 11:00. Four-ball entry cost R3000 (or R750 per player) and includes green fees, halfway meal, prize giving dinner and charity auction.

This event is an opportunity to show your support for a cause that is close to the hearts of many in the community.

Sisterhood is striving for greater community participation and encourages individuals and organisations to get involved in making a meaningful difference.
