St. Paul’s United Church feeding scheme: A beacon of hope for Mulbarton homeless
Empowered by faith: Church' feeding scheme brings hope and support.
St Paul’s United Church in Mulbarton has taken a significant step towards supporting the homeless and waste pickers in the community by launching a feeding scheme.
This initiative forms part of the church’s broader vision to reach out and serve those in need.
On June 26, food hampers were distributed to the less fortunate by church members at St Paul’s as part of the scheme.
Many vulnerable individuals from the community were in attendance, and as a result, numerous people in need received food and support.
The feeding scheme currently provides essential aid to between 180 and 200 beneficiaries.

Each month, these individuals receive a food hamper, and during the winter or summer months, they are also offered a warm cup of tea or a cold drink.
Recently, church members have gone above and beyond by donating beanies for female beneficiaries and socks for the males.
This selfless gesture is a testament to the church’s unwavering commitment to serving its community.
The feeding scheme is a shining example of how faith can be put into action, bringing hope and dignity to those who need it most.
The church’s efforts serve as a powerful reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a significant difference in the lives of others.
