Love From Above’s kitchen and volunteer work area gets a fresh renovation

The charity’s kitchen and volunteer area now serve as a symbol of commitment to those who rely on their services, thanks to a fresh, welcoming redesign.

Love From Above recently completed a much-needed renovation of its kitchen and volunteer work area.

What started as a simple update turned into a full-scale redesign – from walls and ceilings to tiles and doors being carefully rebuilt.

Love From Above managing director, Termayne Sivpersad, said: “This renovation is more than just a facelift. It’s a commitment to the people who rely on this space and the vital work that takes place here every day.”

The kitchen and volunteer area serve as the heart of the charity’s operations. This is where meals are prepared, groceries packed, and volunteers come together to share moments of camaraderie.

“From early mornings to long afternoons, the space sees everything from quiet coffee breaks to moments of laughter and community. These everyday interactions are the backbone of the charity’s mission,” she added.

The redesigned layout aims to improve efficiency and create a more welcoming environment, with a brighter colour scheme, more open space, and practical adjustments throughout. The new design reflects the energy and dedication of the volunteers who make it all happen.

“Since the renovation, there’s been a noticeable improvement in both the atmosphere and workflow,” Sivpersad.
“Tasks are completed more smoothly, and the space now feels more organised and easier to navigate.”

Volunteers have expressed a renewed sense of ease and motivation, making it clear that the improvements have had a positive impact on both their work and well-being.

Love From Above thanked Skitz Trading for its generous sponsorship in making the renovation possible.
