Learners gain confidence at women’s event

Community members and learners in Regents Park came together to celebrate women and promote self-love.

The Circle of Sisters hosted a Women’s Month celebration in the Regents Park Primary School hall in The Hill on August 29.

The event, attended by many women from the community, was a success, with attendees dressing in pastel colours as per the theme.

Ward 57 Clr Faeeza Chame attended to promote self-love and hygiene. Female SAPS officers spoke to the learners about safety and protection, and taught them about how to report a rape or ask for help.
