Prayer walk in Rosettenville calls for action against substance abuse
Be part of the fourth Annual Prayer March as faith groups in Johannesburg south stand united against addiction and brokenness.
This year, the south of Johannesburg is again called to unite in prayer through the fourth annual prayer march, hosted by the Upper Room Christian Centre.
The focus of this year’s event is to stand against drug and substance abuse, which has devastated families and communities.
The churches in the south are urged to arise and respond to the urgent crisis.

“Children are dying in the streets, families are being torn apart, and society is struggling with poverty, crime, and addiction. Yet, many churches remain in the comfort of their buildings, separated from the destruction surrounding them,” said Jackie Crosson of the Upper Room Christian Centre in Haddon.
“Jesus loves the south of Johannesburg, and we must show His love by stepping out and standing with our communities,” she added.

The prayer march will take place on November 1, starting at 10:00. Participants will gather at the top of Main Street, next to the tower at the pharmacy, then proceed down Main Street and into Geranium.
The march will conclude at Video Town, Rosettenville, where a time of prayer and reflection will be held.
This event is a call for unity and hope, inviting all churches and community members to join in making a difference. For more information, contact 082 621 5286.
