“You can’t keep dancing with the devil and ask why you’re still in hell.” – Unknown.
Most people have given up on their dreams, claiming no one is willing nor will help them get ahead in life. I find that sometimes when you do not get the answers to your questions it is either because you are asking the wrong questions or because you are asking the wrong people. The wrong person will have you thinking that you are really asking for too much, when it’s really them who can’t offer you that much.
We all have families, friends, colleagues and co-worshippers, etc. These are people we love, appreciate their opinions and trust to varying degrees. One of the major mistakes we make as a people is to swallow whole the opinions of our loved ones about our dreams or what we want to pursue in life. So many dreams have been shattered by asking the right questions to the wrong people. If you want to become a doctor you need to seek advice from someone who is a doctor, not a mechanic or an engineer. If you want to own a catering business seek advice from someone who has a track record of running a catering business, not a lawyer or plumber who has never run one.
As a life-coach and motivational speaker, people often ask me what they must do to get out of their misery or stuck state. On asking them a few questions, it becomes crystal clear that they were asking the wrong questions altogether or, the right questions to the wrong people.
Don’t hurt yourself by asking the right question to the wrong person who will make you doubt your abilities. Stop planting flowers in people’s yards who aren’t going to water them. Your dream is calling you, pick up the call!
