Two lose their lives in separate tragic accidents on Saturday, April 8.

TWO people from the South lost their lives on Saturday, April 8, in two separate accidents.

A 17-year-old boy was killed while walking with a friend on the N12 highway, close to the Reading Interchange, Alberton in the early hours of the morning, when he was hit by a vehicle. No more information is available.

Later the same morning, just before 07:00, a woman was killed on Columbine Avenue, Mondeor, after a vehicle hit her. The driver was arrested and a case of culpable homicide has been opened.
