It’s all in your attitude

Your philosophy or attitude is more like a compass. If wrongly set, you miss your destination.

We were told to believe that good things come to those who wait. This, unfortunately, was literally taken as gospel truth without qualifying its applicability. To me, growing up means questioning things that you hear around you instead of just accepting them as they are. Jim Rohn said, “It’s not the economy that will determine your next five years, it’s your philosophy.” So, if there are errors in your philosophy or judgment, then, you’ll miss the boat to success because you’ll prioritise all the wrong things in your life.

Your philosophy is your attitude towards life. If your attitude is that the world owes you something, you’ll be unreasonable, miserable and bitter until you change it or else death takes you. If, however, your philosophy is that: “If it’s to be, it’s all up to me!” Then, success and greatness will be yours until the end of time. Your fire to get things done lies purely in your attitude, it’s that simple.

The truth is, each day is a special day because it’s never been experienced before and will never be experienced ever again in future. Today is like you. You are special and unique because this world has never experienced anything like you. You have unique gifts and talents and failure to express them, and it makes you ordinary and frustrated because you are not operating from the place of power and truth.

Your philosophy or attitude is more like a compass. If wrongly set, you miss your destination. The good news, however, is that it can be re-calibrated. For me, Veli Ndaba, coaching and mentoring worked like a charm. It helped me re-calibrate my compass and hence you are reading this article.
