Fortune Khanye and Simphiwe Kubheka, grade 11 learners at Horizon High School attained a silver medal at the Eskom Science Expo at provincial level in 2014.

They have been selected to go to Indonesia this year to showcase their ‘Portable Solar Socket’ that would have a huge impact in the South African load shedding crisis. The boys have worked really hard on their project and feel that it would be wonderful investment, especially in today’s electricity crisis in the country.

Financial sponsorship is humbly requested to assist these two learners to attend the Annual International Science fair in Indonesia 2015.

The cost of the trip is R10 000 per learner and any donation will help these boys in being able to represent South Africa and Horizon High School at the international level once again.

Horizon International High School (HIHS) is an independent school established by Horizon Education Trust, which provides instruction from grade 8 to 12.
