Manager at Reuven Retirement Complex lauded for diligence

For his hard work and dedication, we say a big thank you to Gregory.

This letter is on behalf of the many residents at Reuven Retirement Complex to express our satisfaction at the way the acting manager, Gregory Mackett, has executed his duties at the complex.

For years, Reuven Retirement Complex was a free-for-all because residents and people from outside were allowed to do whatever they wanted to do. There was no accountability, nor were there consequences. Since the take-over by the new manager, things have changed considerably because law and order have been instituted and residents were made to abide by the rules.

Mr Mackett is a hands-on person when it comes to maintenance, whereas having to wait for the council to attend to residents’ problems takes months or years sometimes. Previously, people from outside could just enter the premises. As a result, there were many reports of theft, cars broken into, stolen batteries and tools etc.

Many geysers that were out of order were eventually replaced with new ones. An electrical fault at a flat, that could not be fixed for almost five years, the manager who constantly reminding the council of the urgency to have the electrical fault attended to, was eventually restored. Needless to say, the resident was overjoyed.

For his hard work and dedication, we say a big thank you to Gregory.
