WATCH: Triple Toes Primary hosts vibrant Interhouse Sports Day

Learners, parents, and teachers came together for a high-energy day of sport.

Triple Toes Primary School recently hosted an exciting inter-house sports day at Corinthians Football Club in La Rochelle, bringing together learners, teachers, and parents.

The event included participation from its four sister schools: Triple Toes Primary, Tip Toe Pre-School, Top Toes Pre-School, and Tiny Toes Pre-School. Learners were grouped into three houses: Lions, Cheetahs, and Buffaloes, and competed in a variety of sports activities throughout the day.

There was strong support from parents and teachers who cheered on the learners from the sidelines. Cheerleaders added to the excitement, keeping the crowd entertained and motivated.

Learners enjoyed a fun-filled day, taking part in different sports and building teamwork, confidence and growing the school spirit. A special highlight of the day was the parents’ race, which brought laughter and excitement as parents joined in the fun.

Event organiser and manager Fezeka Majola expressed her appreciation to everyone who contributed to the day’s success. “We are very grateful for the support from parents, teachers and all the schools involved. It was wonderful to see the children happy, active and working together,” she said.

Principal Brenda Dludlu, who also took part in the activities, highlighted the importance of sport in children’s development. “Sport is just as important as academics. It helps children stay healthy, build friendships and develop important life skills. Our sports day showed how much they benefit from being active and involved,” she said.

The interhouse sports day was a great success and the school looks forward to continuing to host such events in the future, promoting active lifestyles and bringing the school community together.
