Women celebrated at South Rand Hospital

Two events in seven days a huge success for South Rand Hospital.

SOUTH Rand Hospital hosted two events within the space of two weeks on August 22 and 28.

The first event focused on the importance of breastfeeding while the other was a celebration of Women’s Day.

Breastfeeding

This was staged to protect, promote and support breastfeeding as this is vital to a baby’s health.

The room was full of women who have breastfed before and those who are presently breastfeeding.

The attendees were advised how fathers can play a key role in supporting their breastfeeding wifes by praising their efforts and offering a word of encouragement to breastfeeding mothers.

Women’s Day

The hospital wanted to end Women’s Month on a high as they invited nurses, doctors and other distinguished guests. The purpose of the event was to acknowledge the importance of women in South Africa.

Attendees were treated like royalty with every table decorated with snacks, sweets and juice. The hospital invited motivational speakers and pastors to share a word of encouragement.

South Rand spokesperson Phafudi Molapo said events like these should be supported to empower women out there.
