Swami Sivananda birth celebrations

The celebrations will consist of opening invocatory prayers, Satsanga, classical music, dance and an inspiring message by our honoured guest Sri Swami Muktanandaji Maharaj.

THE Sri Adi Shankara Ashrama of Winchester Hills, Johannesburg South, will be celebrating the 132nd birth anniversary of the illustrious founder and first President of the Divine Life Society Headquarters, Uttarakhand, India, on September 8.

The august celebrations of the Divine Master H H Satguru Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj, will take place at the Patidar Hall, Salvia Street, Extension 3, Lenasia, from 10am to 1pm, followed by lunch Prasadam. “Sri Swami Shivashankarananda, Sri Swami Shraddhananda Mataji, the officials and devotees of the Ashrama, extend a cordial invitation to the entire Hindu community as well as other interested individuals to join this important highlight of the Ashrama’s spiritual calendar,” said Sri Pramod Desai, chairperson of the society.

“The celebrations will consist of opening invocatory prayers, Satsanga, classical music, dance and an inspiring message by our honoured guest Sri Swami Muktanandaji Maharaj, Saint of Anandashram, Kerala, India,” said Swamiji.
