WATCH: Humanitarian receives prestigious awards
Despite personal challenges, Tracey continues to provide support to struggling families.
GOOD Samaritan Tracey Williams was honoured to accept two awards at the World Business Clinic Women Celebration Awards recently.
Proud that her hard work, dedication to the community and love shown to those who are destitute have not gone unnoticed, Williams said that accepting the awards was a moment she will cherish.
The well-known community leader and founder of the organisation, Wentworth Angels, received the Woman of Worth award, as well as a special award for her achievements in impacting society through her leading role in the Merewent community.

Williams said it was her calling to help those in need, and despite her own personal challenges, she has continued to be a beacon of light to vulnerable women, children and the elderly.
Due to her health deteriorating, she was unable to continue her acts of selfless service for while, and although she has tried to close the doors of the organisation, she now strives to juggle the demands of her health with serving her community.
“Being a survivor of gender-based violence, and with the community close to my heart, I do my best with the few resources and donations I receive to provide support to struggling families and other organisations through various initiatives.
“I find it satisfying to be an instrument of hope to the community and in contributing towards positive change. I am grateful and blessed to have received these tokens of appreciation and awards,” she said.
Williams is also involved in various community safety initiatives and dedicates her spare time to making her community a safe place again by being hands-on in terms of crime prevention.
She also navigates support to those who have been victims of crime and domestic violence.
