After the singing of Unity with the help of the choir, the minutes were read as well as a report on finance.

Once again Donna Chelin was ready with her social news with the aid of Trish Braum. Bon voyage was bade to Anne de Goede who is off to Australia for two months. Yellowwood Park WI will hold its birthday party on 26 August, with the theme being 1968. Many thanks as always to the two members who cook for the seniors once a month. Stainbank noted that it was most unfortunate that they have had to stop volunteering at Botanic Gardens due to a lack of support by members.

Happy birthday to members celebrating this month and to Arlene on her anniversary. Tea hostess Sue Dennison made a special plea to members on tea duty to arrive early and to stay after the meeting.

After tea, members had a most informative talk by Martie Craig on the tours in the Fouriesburg area, and all the many locations one can visit from there. They also watched a DVD with all the details and information. Many members showed great interest in the tours.
