Police close in on burglars

The men derailed the entrance gate and broke a door to gain entry into the house. Four women and a man were held hostage while the men ransacked the house, taking with them among other items, the house keys and a plasma TV. The men fled the scene in their Audi.

The car was later spotted in the KwaMashu area. W/O Rico Naidoo and Tiger Ramsamy and their team kept observation at a car wash, where the men had left the vehicle. The number plates of the vehicle had been changed and it was also discovered that the vehicle belonged to a car rental company. The men have been identified and arrests are imminent.
