New Forest reunion to be a casual affair
Doors will open from 4.30pm onwards, and there will be name tags at the door.

NEW Forest High’s reunion committee is planning a casual, informal get together of all ex learners from the 60’s to the 80’s.
The reunion will be held at Durban Wanderers Club on Friday, 29 November in the upstairs hall and smoking deck. Parking will be available in the car park and on the field.
Doors will open from 4.30pm onwards, and there will be name tags at the door.
Eric Redman will open the reunion and welcome all and then hand over to the master of ceremonies, top horse trainer, comedian and TV personality, Paul Lafferty, who will regale with memories of the school.
Unfortunately, New Forest headmistress, Cherie Pet will be unable to attend due to school commitments.
There will be an entrance fee of R10 payable at the door, which will go towards light snacks, and a free ticket for the raffles.
Food will be on sale upstairs in the bar and on the deck from 6pm until 8pm. Then it’s party time with the Boogie Band in the main bar downstairs.
As it is very hot and humid in November, ex-pupils are welcome to dress casual, with smart shorts and summer clothes.
Space will be tight and all who are attending must adhere to the following procedures to facilitate a smooth and speedy start to the reunion: Email Eric Redman at predman@polka.co.za with details of your full name and the year you left school, as well as the full name of your spouse or partner if attending. Eric will reply to all emails with a reference number which you can take along to speed up the allocation of name tags and allow the club to do the necessary catering.
Remember to have your R10 ready for entrance and free entry to raffles. ‘Camera man’ Francis Holder will show all the school’s history, and footage of the last two reunions.
If anyone can donate or contribute a prize for the raffle, it would be appreciated. Advise Eric of this before the reunion.
Call Eric Redman on 031-462-3686 (h), 031-462-2320 (club) or 082-496-1063 (cell).
