School choir to raise the roof for seniors

Montclair Primary School will be singing for members.

THERE’S excitement planned for Montclair Senior Citizen’s Club’s next meeting, when the children from Montclair Primary School will sing for members.

They are a talented choir and a joy to listen to, so the club hopes every member will make an effort to attend the meeting on Thursday, 14 November.

After devotions by Wendy Kirsten of Montclair Methodist Church, Noami McDivett welcomed all members and visitors to the last meeting. It was great to have Dave Matthews give members a musical quiz of songs. Great fun was had by all.

Colin, Isobel and Joy shared a few jokes and it was good to see Bev and Cecilia back from their overseas trips.

Birthday greetings to members celebrating this month and many thanks to members who supply the prizes each month. Edibles are always welcome.

It is with sorrow that members heard of the death of Malcolm Bache, a long-time member of the club who always assisted when he could. Thoughts are with his family.

The club looks forward to seeing all members at the Montclair Methodist Church hall on Thursday, 14 November at 9am for 9.30am for a special show.
