AXE murder accused Phindile Joseph Ntshongwana’s trial continued in the Durban High on Monday, 20 January.
Prosecutor, advocate Ria Mina was cross-examining professor of psychiatry, Abu Baker Gangat in the first day of trial when proceedings were brought to a halt, after the recording machine stopped working. The professor claims the accused, Ntshongwana who lives in Yellowwood Park is delusional and suffers from mental illness. The trial continues Tuesday, 21 January at 10am.
The former Blue Bulls flanker has been charged with four counts of murder, two of attempted murder, one of assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm and a count of rape and kidnapping.
