Clairwood Rotarians launch youth outreach club
The Rotary Club of Durban Clairwood Park launched its first Earlyact Club at Stonebridge Primary School in Phoenix on Tuesday, 28 January.
The establishment of the club is to assist community members who are in need.
Teachers, Cassidy Rambarran and Thabile Khuzwayo will oversee the 24 pupils inducted into the club. The club members will devote themselves to the collection of uniforms and shoes along with other projects such as the Easter egg, library book and stationery drives. They will also be responsible for the distribution of breakfast packs.
Rotary Club president, Juggy Naidoo stressed the importance of involving pupils in community projects at an early age.
