Keeping your ageing body free from harm with one of these fruit or their juices does not sound like a bad idea at all.

Oranges and lemons, a short tale of two different fruit.

The lemon is rich in vitamin C which is important for your daily well being and it is said a good morning dose of it makes a huge difference.

The naturally tasty orange and the usually sour lemon are fruit that are both good for you and so are their juices. Why not start your busy day with a full glass on an empty stomach they say.

Orange or lemon

Orange juice has more minerals and vitamins than its sour sister lemon juice but they both give you some important nutritional goodness.

In general a cup of orange juice gives you 112 calories of sweetness while a cup of lemon juice offers 54 calories.

Vitality in a glass

Other than its minute calories, orange juice gives you 138 percent and lemon has only 104 percent of the all important vitamin C. This water soluble anti-oxidant keeps the cells healthy and reduces inflammation and keeps your heart and bones on top form. It also makes sure that the collagen in the skin is maintained and supports the immune system by making white blood cells.

In a nutshell, it keeps you looking healthy and beautiful from the inside and out and walking tall.
Folically alerted
Folic acid is the man made part of folate, the other vital vitamin we get from the two juices. It helps the body grow and make new cells. As mentioned before folate is vital before and during the first three months of your pregnancy, if you a female that is. It stop birth defects before you born and when you older, it keeps your heart ticking in shape.
It is said orange juice from a cup gives you 18 percent of it while lemon comes in at a mere 12 percent.
Once again, we need this to make sure we grow up normal and healthy and stay strong and fit right into our old age.

Be a 6 valve

One of the B vitamins found in the two juices also does the same job as folate, but in a different way. This vitamin B-6 is known to make serotonin which keeps your mood swings in tune with you daily habits and makes you sleep better.

And for once both the lemon and orange juice in a cup are equal at giving 8percent of the vitamin B-6

With a perfect heart and no mood swings you can slip under covers to a good nights rest.

Flavour to your ears

The antioxidants in oranges and lemons are called flavanones.

These strangely named goodies help to stop cancers from forming by cutting off cancer agents, while keeping the blood pressure and cholesterol low and disease causing inflammation is kept at bay.

And do be aware that the skins of both fruit have a higher content of these flavanones.

Keeping your ageing body free from harm with one of these fruit or their juices does not sound like a bad idea at all. Best to drink a glass in the morning to get the body kick started into gear and be sure to rinse your mouth after drinking acidic juices to save the tooth enamel. Naturally you will dilute the lemon juice with water. Unless you are a martyr to looking good and feeling healthy.

Have a great week, depending on your choice of morning drink.
