Crow opens clinic, operations rooms

Under An African Sky's 2014 calender, 'African Sentiments', funds revamp and environmental educational officer.

THE Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (Crow) proudly showed off their newly refurbished clinic and operations room to sponsors and patrons, who were all eager to be part of the unveiling on Wednesday, 14 May.

Funded by Under An African Sky’s 2014 calender, ‘African Sentiments’, Crow now boasts a new operations room twice the size of the previous one and a full-time environmental education officer. Included in the refurbishment was a fresh coat of paint, flooring, new ICU treatment and monitoring areas and Wildlife Warriors educational activity booklets.

“Our newly refurbished clinic is going to enable us to extend our lifesaving services to wild animals in distress across the province and ensure that each and every animal is given the best care and treatment. Crow is grateful to Under An African Sky and all those members of the public who continue to support the annual wildlife calendar campaigns,” said Claire Hodgkinson, director of Crow.

Members of the public are invited to Crow’s monthly open day on Sunday, 25 May for an opportunity to see first-hand the work they do. For more information, call Crow on 031-462-1127.
