Hospital pharmacy does deliveries

Stable chronic patients in Merebank, Austerville and Lamontville to benefit from deliveries.

WENTWORTH Hospital’s pharmacy has taken it upon itself to deliver medicine to patients with pink repeat cards at local venues.

This is part of an effort to improve service delivery and reduce waiting times.

Stable chronic patients will be able to collect their medicine from Lamontville, Merebank and Austerville. The medicine will be pre-packed and delivered by the staff.

Patients in the Merebank area can collect their medication on Mondays at 8.30am at the Merebank community centre. On Wednesday, medicine can be collected at Austerville community hall at 8.30am and the Lamontville Clinic will serve as a collection point on Fridays, also at 8.30am.

Those who are interested in making use of the service can visit the pharmacy’s window number one or call 031-460-5126 for more details.
