Scholars show old age home they care

AS part of its ‘Because We Care’ initiative, Pemberton Christrian Educare Private School extended a helping hand to Thornhill Old Age Home, Montclair on Wednesday, 25 June.

Pupils donated much-needed items to the home, which included bedding, towels, toiletries and clothing. The elderly were kept entertained, as pupils sang songs and cheered up the residents. To make the day sweeter, sweets were handed out with each parcel.

The school thanks all parents who gave generously and the staff who ensure each resident is well looked after. Having made a commitment to the home, the school continues to visit the home throughout the year, taking gifts to the residents.
