NPO needs community’s help

Wentworht Angels calls for people to help them help the community.

EVEN angels need help sometimes and they have put the call out to the South Durban community to help them help families in need.

Local NPO, Wentworth Angels, hosts a string of fundraising drives every year for the less fortunate in the community through the assistance of others. Among other drives last year, they helped two families provide funerals for loved ones; revamped and furnished homes for three families whose houses burnt down and hosted a Christmas party, giving food parcels to families and toys to children.

The organisation has put an appeal to South Durban residents to assist them with their 2015 projects, which include an Easter Sunday fun day; donations of school stationery and uniforms; providing shelter for battered women and children; feeding families in need and their Christmas party.

Call chairman, Tracey Williams on 074-703-1393 or email wentworthangels@yahoo.com for details and to volunteer assistance.
