THURSDAY, 19 FEBRUARY: Friendship Club holds its usual monthly meeting at the Bluff’s Assegai hall with a 9am for 9.30am start. The club welcomes all senior citizens in the area. President Margaret Everitt secures the most interesting speakers and March will be very special as it will be an ‘antique roadshow’.

SATURDAY, 21 FEBRUARY: Birdlife Port Natal meets at Palmiet Nature Reserve in Westville at 2pm for the AGM and a talk entitled ‘Around the world in 80 birds’ by Trevor Hardaker, who is well-known for his zest for birds, national rarities and pelagics. TUESDAY, 24 FEBRUARY: Bluff branch of the Retried Persons Club holds a coffee morning at 9.30am at Bluff Bowling Club, Cradock Avenue/Admiral Road, Bluff. FRIDAY, 6 MARCH: New Forest Congregational Church hosts the Women’s World Day of Prayer at 316 Kenyon Howden Road, Montclair. Tea will be served at 9am and the service is at 10am. RSVP Valerie Wagner on 031-469-1372.

WEDNESDAY, 4 MARCH: View the award-winning documentary, ‘Walking the Camino: Six ways to Santiago’ at 6.45pm for 7pm at Musgrave Methodist Church, Durban. The movie will end by 8.30pm and juice will be served until 9pm. The R20 charge at the door includes a donation to the church, the car guard and juice afterwards. RSVP as places are limited.
