Appeal for contributions for golf course’s upkeep
Ward councillor calls for community's help.

CALLING it the “picturesque green haven nestling in the heart of our peninsula”, ward 66 councillor, Duncan Du Bois, believes it is vital to save the Bluff National Park Golf Course and appeals to residents to contribute what they can.
“Club captain of the Bluff Golf Club, Monay Pretorius, has put out an appeal to supporters and stakeholders to make a contribution to the cost of maintaining the greens. They are being maintained in a playable condition as a result of the kindness and dedication of a few individuals. Without their efforts, the course would lose its attractiveness and income for the club would be severely curtailed.
“As Bluff residents, we are all stakeholders in the maintenance and survival of the Bluff Golf Club. As I argued last year, the golf course occupies a critical green lung part of our suburb. Regardless of whether or not one plays golf,” said Du Bois.
He has endorsed Pretorius’ appeal to the community to make whatever financial contribution they can.
