Help police track rape victim’s attacker
Police need help to track down the man in the identikit.
THE Brighton Beach Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit appeals to anyone with information on the man in the identikit to come forward to assist in their bid to find a 22-year-old’s rapist.
On Thursday, 12 February the 22-year-old was walking along Gazala Crescent in Mayville when a passerby struck up a conversation with her. The man then allegedly grabbed her, forced her into nearby bushes and raped her.
Police believe the man in the identikit will be able to help them in their investigation. The man, who may be a security guard, is described as short, between 40 and 50-years-old, with a medium build and dark complexion. He was seen wearing jeans and a multi-coloured jacket.
Anyone with information on him should contact Warrant Officer Marshall Paton on 031-203-7334 or 083-560-0586 or the Crime Stop hotline on 08600-10111.
