Seniors’ fashion show draws focus on running costs
Communities can offer time, talent or financial aid to help the home continue its service

RESIDENTS are urged to assist the John Dunn House by donating goods for sale at the home’s shop or by lending services.
At a high tea on Friday, 27 February, staff and residents put on a fashion show for the public and CEO of Tafta, Margie Smith spoke about the house and its importance to the community.
She made a plea to Wentworth and surrounding communities to offer time, talent or financial aid to help the home continue its service as she spoke about the high cost of the frail care unit.
The John Dunn House has a charity shop through which people can make donations of ballgowns, evening wear, secondhand clothing, shoes, jewellery, furniture, or other items for sale to raise funds for the home. The community is also encouraged to buy any of the items on sale.
Anyone interested in helping the home either through donations or by becoming a part of the management team should phone building manager, Ingrid Singh on 031-468-1389 or fax 031-468-9801.
