Thirteen injured in multiple vehicle pile-up

Rescue Care paramedics found a car, taxi and bus had collided in a rear-end collision.

THIRTEEN people were injured in a three-car pile-up this morning on South Coast Road near Kenyon Howden Road, Montclair just before 7am on Tuesday, 10 March.

“Rescue Care paramedics found a car, taxi and bus had collided in a rear-end collision. Passengers from the bus and taxis were found on the side of the road with various injuries. More ambulances were called in to assist with treatment and transport of the injured. Once all of the injured were stabilised, they were transported to various Durban Hospitals,” said operations director, Garrith Jamieson.

The cause of the accident is unclear. Police are investigating.
